Welcome to Archetype!
Hello new friends (and old friends too) and welcome to our guild. We have formed Archetype with the intention of having a well-formed set of expectations for our raiders to understand. The guild is run by a triumvirate, and thus all major guild decisions will be discussed by the three leaders, allowing two sane people to veto one crazy person when needed.
The guild will have three leaders, several officers, and main raiders. Casual members will have a rank of their own and in order to move up the WoW foodchain you must contribute, show up for raid, respond to the guild calendar invitations, assist new guildies, and be an all around enjoyable person to play with. Furthermore, we have introduced class leads for most classes and if you do not have a class lead we have likely unofficially covered that base with someone who used to play your class. Though leads may not be able to answer all of your questions, they will be chosen based on their performance, diversity, and approachability. Class leads can provide you with helpful resources to better yourself.
We do not have specific rules about language and conversational content. Know that we are a group that appreciates a good joke but if you go too far you will be told (in whisper, for the most part). We are open to all sorts of people but we have no intention on raiding with people who are aggressive or angry in raid. It is a game and though I would like everyone to take it seriously, it shouldn’t be frustrating and all around upsetting to play. All officers have the power to demote you at any time if they feel the need but every officer who demotes an individual must provide an adequate explanation for doing so.
The guild bank is accessible by all level 80s once they are off of probation. Officers and guild leadership have access to everything in the guild bank so if there is something you cannot access, feel free to ask. We only ask that you contribute about as much as you take out. We have a number of people who work hard to keep up with PvE enchants, glyphs, gems, flasks, and potions along with other item enhancements, but without the contribution of everyone, keeping up becomes very difficult. Also note that we do not want precious bank resources going toward your PvP set. Please do not put junk in the guild bank, and try to keep items from levels below 70 out of the guild bank – we simply won’t have the space for it all. Items in the guild bank that we do not feel are useful will be vendored or auctioned at our discretion and the gold will be placed in the bank.
We currently have five bank tabs. The tabs are organized as best as we can in hopes of utilizing the space and keepin things as neat as possible. Descriptions can be found in the bank tab text so if you’re unsure where an item goes you can refer to this. Please do not remove these from the bank in anticipation of needing it. Wait until you can actually use it!
If for some reason you see areas that need improvement, you are welcome to make suggestions and all suggestions will be discussed and considered. Also, if there is anything you are unsure about, you can always come and ask me!
