Addition_Spec_Info: I\’m currently running a fairly standard non-Celestial Focus restoration spec. The non-CF haste soft cap for restoration druids is 856 haste rating with full raid buffs; with my current gear I am at 838 haste rating (not noticeably different from 856 after factoring in latency).
The seven points freed up by dropping the CF spec allow me to use Empowered Touch and Living Seed for tank-healing purposes, as well as Improved Barkskin for additional survivability (useful for, e.g., Pungent Blight, Bloodbolt Whirl, Vile Spirits).
I do not use the Rapid Rejuvenation glyph; the explanation why can be lengthy, but I will justify this decision if necessary.
My favorite non-ability talent is Revitalize. Filling up a DK\’s runic power bar gives me something to do during raid downtime.
Personal_Info: 22/M/MO(US)
I\’m currently a grad school dropout and nothing more.
Raid_Experience: On 25-man normal: Naxx(all), Ulduar(all — no Algalon, but that\’s hard mode only), ToC(all), and 11/12 ICC. I have also done Marrowgar and Gunship on heroic.
I\’m 12/12 ICC 10 normal, and have also done Halion 10 normal. 7/12 ICC 10 heroic.
Does_the_Raid_Schedule_Work_for_You?: Yes.
Do_You_Have_Dual_Spec?: Before reaching the non-CF haste cap I ran a double restoration spec: a CF raid heal spec and a non-CF spec with tank healing talents.
Since I consolidated my two healing specs into one healing main spec I picked up a balance offspec, but it hasn\’t seen much playtime as of yet. I\’m trying to develop my balance set and hone my playstyle, but I am not interested in a position as anything other than a main spec healer.
Computer/Connection: I have a solid, high-speed internet connection which hasn\’t caused me any trouble in several months.
Previous_Guilds: Limiting this to Wrath of the Lich King, I was in Schism until they broke up, then Fury until they stopped raiding, then Technique until they broke up, then Fury again, but it\’s not the same guild I enjoyed my first time through. I left Fury recently and am now looking for a new home.
Anything_Else: I\’m looking for a mature guild atmosphere. \”Mature\” doesn\’t mean constant lewd remarks, excessive swearing, or racial slurs (notice that there\’s no qualifier on this last one).

Gear: He seems to be geared exactly the way I am, with the exception a few pieces, but none that are bad choices.
Gems/Enchants: Gemming and enchanting is correct. I may suggest that if you are not having mana problems, to socket the blue sockets with +5 socket bonuses with a runed cardinal ruby. With a purified dreadstone in a +5 sp socket bonus, you only get +19 sp in comparison to a +23 sp gem with no socket bonus. It’s not a make or break choice, only a suggestion to increase healing throughput.
Spec: He’s specced correctly for a non-CF build for the most part, tho with his haste being 18 below the haste cap, I would probably keep at least 1 point in CF to stay above the haste cap, since that only requires you to be at 815 haste to keep a 1 sec GCD in a fully raid buffed environment. Since we are a HM progression guild, every little bit will help. I would recommend taking the points out of Improved Barkskin (mostly PVP use) and Living Seed (with our current healer setup, you most likely won’t be tank healing) and putting them back into getting CF.
Glyphs: Both major and minor are correct.
Offspec: His spec is a standard boomkin spec with the correct glyphs.
Overall: He seems pretty good and he seems to be knowledgeable of his class, just a few kinks to work out in regards to his resto spec. Once that is fixed, he should be ready for HMs.

With regards to the gemming, I occasionally find myself in 10-mans without Replenishment (ouch) and I’ve had my mana strained on a handful of recent Lich King 25 attempts (probably in situations which would be irrecoverable anyway, but learning is learning). Keep in mind that I don’t have a Solace of the Defeated, which makes a huge difference, but also that since I am a jewelcrafter, switching gems is easy and I can do it at virtually any time if I find that the additional regen is unnecessary.
As to the haste, if I’m not botching my calculations my raid-buffed GCD should be
1.5/(1.05*1.03*1.1*(1+(838/32.79)/100))
which gives 1.004. As I suggested above, I’m not convinced that a difference four one-thousandths of a second can be detected when compounded with latency and player error (which will always exist to some degree, despite my best efforts). If the guild leadership would prefer that I be at or above the haste soft cap at all times I would be happy to comply, however.

We always have two holy paladins in our run. Tank heals will not be necessary. I would be more comfortable with you being hastecapped and working on your spiderman-like reflexes. Send me a tell in-game and we’ll talk in vent about various things. Thanks for your app
