- What is PR? Your PR is your priority for gear. It is a calculation of effort points divided by gear points. GP is assigned the moment you get gear and changes to your PR are effective immediately.
- How is EP(effort points)assigned? EP can be assigned by an officer on a per kill or per time basis. We are assign 1 EP every minute of 25 man raid time.
- How is GP (gear points) assigned? Gear Points are assigned by the loot master who must also be an officer with the EPGP Reloaded addon. A number pops up that the addon generates based on the quality of gear. When there are two numbers it is because one is explicitly for a certain class. A gun, for example, has a high number for hunters and a low number from warriors. A staff has a high number for feral druids but a low number for hunters and so on.
- Do we get GP for gear acquired outside of guild runs? No EP or GP is assigned outside of guild runs. We want you to come and participate in raid knowing that not all the gear will go to one person unequally. The system is designed for the most even distribution of gear possible.
- Do we get GP for offspec items? When items are given to someone for offspec we will not be assigning GP. Instead, the GP is assigned “to the guild bank”. Sometimes we assign loot to priority offspecs first. In these cases GP is still not assigned.
- What is Decay? Every other week, we will decay by a percentage. This means that if I had 100 PR and Ragingdaddy had 200 PR and we were decaying by 10% I would have 90 PR and Ragingdaddy would have 180PR. Everyone’s PR is decayed evenly. Essentially, if you show up for raid and gain a lot of EP and have a really high PR but then choose not to show up again for a month, your PR will decay overtime so that you cannot just return expecting to get gear. This prevents losing too much gear to players that will not be working to advance the guild regularly. Archetype decays by 15% every other Tuesday.
- If you are the only one who wants an item, do you still get GP? The answer is simply yes. If you get seven upgrades that no one else needs and then something coveted also drops, it is clearly someone else’s turn to get the gear. People who have worked hard to be seriously geared and only need a few pieces are otherwise unfairly competing with members that have already received a large number of upgrades for the week.
- Which raids will give effort points and gear points and which won’t? EP and GP are only assigned for ilvl 264 gear or higher ( ICC 25 man and RS 25 man)
- Is there anything that doesn’t cost GP? Primordial Saronite go directly to the guild bank. Quest items for shadow’s edge are loot council’d to our most consistent and high dps first.
- How does EPGP work with Marks of Sanctification? Each mark is 495 GP and gets looted to the person with the highest priority. You can only roll for these if you need them for your main spec. Each heroic mark is worth 798 GP and works the same way. Marks are ALWAYS full price regardless of what you are upgrading.
- If there are pugs in the group how will we deal with EPGP? If we have pugs in the group and the pug wants the item, everyone who wants the item will roll. If the pug does not win, the person with the highest priority who wants the item will get it rather than the person who wins the roll. Please be clear on this.
- How does EPGP work on standby? On standby you must whisper the person assigning EPGP. For example, I could whisper Maome “EPGP Standby” and epgp will be rewarded to me. In ten minutes I will receive a whisper from Maome saying that I have been removed from the epgp reward list, and I will whisper him again. This ensures that I am around and available and actually waiting on standby rather than falsely accumulating EP. If I did all my dailies and got really bored I could go level my deathknight. Then I would whisper Maome with “EPGP standby Angerona” and the ep would be assigned to angerona still.
- Do you get standby if you’re late? People who have class or work and know they will be late can get standby EP if they let Angerona know in advance via in-game mail. However, to avoid people showing up purposely late for free EP, we will not give standby to late players without advanced notice unless we pull them into raid to replace someone. If you’re half an hour late, for example, wait around for two hours, and raid for half an hour, at the end of the night you will get half an hour of EP for being in raid and 2 hours of standby EP becuase you waited and we needed you. If, however, you are late and we don’t need you, you will get nothing.
- Why does curse not have the version daddyodwarf posted about? When you download the addon from curse it would say 5.5.7 (though this has now been fixed) but when it is actually installed it is version 5.5.16 as of 3.3.3
- Why did I lose 100 EP last night? If you accept your invite and you’re not on time (without prior notice), you will lose 100 EP. It is a minor loss and only seriously effects people who are late or skip raid all the time.
- Why was I not invited to raid? People who accept and are consistent get top priority for invites. Still, nobody’s spot is gauranteed. You may be asked to sit out for another player. You can ALWAYS question our decisions. If you want explanation, Tiemus, Angerona, or Calta can talk to you quickly in vent about why you were sat out.
Please add on any questions you have and I will be more than happy to answer.
